Stand Up Sequences

Ini merupakan sebuah permainan yang dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan kecepatan respon seorang siswa serta meningkatkan kemampuan kosakata.

1. Bagi siswa ke dalam kelompok dengan masing-masing kelompok beranggotakan 5 orang.
2. Sediakan 10 macam hal yang nantinya akan ditanyakan kepada siswa Anda. 10 macam hal tadi bisa berupa buah, nama kendaraan, hewan, negara, merek mobil atau motor, serta masih banyak lagi.
3. Permainannya begini: Anda memulai dengan satu tema dan satu huruf, misalnya huruf C untuk nama hewan. Maka tunjuk kelompok pertama dan katakan “C” kepada mereka. Kemudian kelompok tersebut harus menjawab nama hewan yang diawali oleh huruf C. Waktunya hanya 10 detik.
4. Kelompok yang berhasil menjawab, maka mereka mendapatkan satu poin. Lanjutkan kembali ke kelompok kedua kemudian katakan huruf yang Anda suka misalnya “E”. Jadi, kelompok tersebut harus menyebutkan nama hewan yang  berawal dari huruf “E”.
5. Lanjutkan hingga ke kelompok terakhir, kemudian mulai kembali ke topik yang baru misalnya nama kendaraan. Ulang kembali, namun tidak harus dari kelompok pertama, karena Anda bisa memulainya secara acak.

The Grand Palace

The Grand Palace (Thai: Phra Borom Maha Ratcha Wang) is a complex of buildings at the heart of Bangkok, Thailand. The palace has been the official residence of the Kings of Siam (and later Thailand) since 1782. The previous royal residence was the Derm Palace, constructed for King Taksin in 1768. The king, his court and his royal government were based on the grounds of the palace until 1925.

The present monarch, King Bhumibol Adulyadej (King Rama IX), currently resides at Chitralada Palace, but the Grand Palace is still used for official events. Several royal ceremonies and state functions are held within the walls of the palace every year. The palace is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Thailand.

Construction of The Grand Palace began on May 6, 1782, at the order of King Buddha Yodfa Chulaloke (King Rama I), the founder of the Chakri Dynasty, when he moved the capital city from Thonburi to Bangkok. To the north of the Grand Palace there is a large field, the Thung Phra Men (now called Sanam Luang), which is used as an open space for royal ceremonies and as a parade ground. By 1925, the king, the Royal Family and the government were no longer permanently settled at the palace, and had moved to other residences. After the abolition of absolute monarchy in 1932, all government agencies completely moved out of the palace.
